Our operations are transparent, fully licensed, and adhere to both Indonesian law and the highest international maritime standards. This page details the certifications, licenses, and protocols that ensure the safety and security of every guest on every journey.
Corporate & Regulatory Compliance
Komodo Super Yacht operates under the legal entity PT Juara Bahari Nusantara, a fully registered Indonesian company and a subsidiary of the Juara Holding Group. Our legal standing is impeccable.
- SIUP Pariwisata: We hold a valid Surat Izin Usaha Pariwisata (Tourism Business License) issued by the Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy), authorizing us to conduct marine tourism activities.
- NPWP & Tax Compliance: Our company maintains a registered Nomor Pokok Wajib Pajak (Taxpayer Identification Number) and is fully compliant with all Indonesian tax regulations.
- BPJS Ketenagakerjaan: All our Indonesian employees, both ship-based and shore-based, are fully registered and covered by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, the national social security and insurance program, ensuring their welfare and legal protection.
- IATA Accreditation: As part of our integrated service, our travel division maintains IATA (International Air Transport Association) accreditation, allowing us to seamlessly manage complex international flight itineraries for our clients.
Maritime Safety & Vessel Certification
Every vessel in our curated portfolio is subject to a rigorous vetting process that goes far beyond aesthetics. Our Head of Maritime Operations ensures each yacht meets or exceeds the following standards.
- ISM & ISPS Code Compliance: All partner yachts operate under the International Safety Management (ISM) Code for the Safe Operation of Ships and for Pollution Prevention, and the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. These are verified through annual audits.
- SOLAS & MARPOL Compliance: Vessels are fully compliant with the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL).
- Indonesian Flag & Port State Control: All vessels are legally registered in Indonesia and are subject to inspections by the Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Laut (Directorate General of Sea Transportation) to ensure compliance with national maritime law.
- Crew Certification: All deck and engineering officers hold internationally recognized Certificates of Competency, and all crew members possess valid STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) certificates, including first aid and firefighting.
Operational Safety Protocols
Our commitment to safety extends to every aspect of our operations, from the moment you land to the farthest point of your expedition.
- Emergency Action Plan (EAP): We have a comprehensive EAP for all scenarios, including medical emergencies, severe weather, and security incidents. This plan includes clear communication protocols with BASARNAS (The National Search and Rescue Agency) and international medical evacuation providers.
- Onboard Medical Care: Every yacht is equipped with a comprehensive medical kit, defibrillator (AED), and therapeutic oxygen. Crew members are trained in advanced first aid and CPR. For select charters, we can arrange for a qualified doctor or paramedic to be on board.
- Aviation Coordination: We work directly with AirNav Indonesia and the airport authorities at Komodo Airport (LBJ) and other regional airstrips to ensure safe and efficient coordination of private flights and helicopter transfers.
- Guest Safety Briefings: Upon boarding, all guests receive a thorough safety briefing covering life jacket locations, muster stations, and emergency procedures for the specific vessel. Similar briefings are conducted before any activity, such as diving, snorkeling, or trekking.
- GPS Tracking & Communication: Our entire fleet and ground transport vehicles are equipped with real-time GPS tracking. Yachts are fitted with redundant satellite communication systems (VSAT, Inmarsat) to ensure constant connectivity, even in the most remote areas.
Our meticulous attention to safety and compliance is not just a legal requirement; it is a moral obligation to our guests, our crew, and the country in which we operate. It is the invisible framework that supports every perfect sunset and every unforgettable adventure on a Komodo super yacht charter.
