The optimal season for chartering in Komodo is during the dry season, which runs from April to November. During these months, you can expect clear skies, calm seas, and excellent visibility for diving and snorkelling. The shoulder months of April, May, and October often provide the perfect balance of superb weather and fewer visiting vessels, offering an even greater sense of exclusivity. The peak months are July and August, which still offer fantastic conditions.
The charter fee generally covers the exclusive use of the yacht and its crew, including their wages and food. Additional expenses are covered by the Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA), typically 30% of the charter fee. The APA covers costs such as fuel, food and beverages for your party, port fees, national park permits, and any special requests. All APA expenditure is meticulously tracked, and any remaining funds are returned to you at the end of the charter.
Safety is our highest priority. Every yacht in our fleet adheres to stringent international safety standards (such as SOLAS) and is captained by a certified, experienced master mariner. The crew are professionally trained in first aid, emergency procedures, and firefighting. Onboard equipment includes satellite phones, EPIRBs, and comprehensive medical kits. Please note that connectivity can be intermittent and may not support high-bandwidth activities like streaming. This service allows for email and basic communication.
Entry into the Komodo National Park requires permits and conservation fees, which are set by the Indonesian government. These fees contribute directly to the preservation of the park's unique ecosystem and wildlife. These costs are not included in the base charter fee but will be itemised and handled through your Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA). Our team will manage all necessary permits and payments on your behalf.
